Thraft patch notes - January 23, 2021
General
- Added a Linux version.
- Added a macOS version.
Gameplay
- Updated the movement mechanic: instead of the raft being propelled and you using a key to stir, you now have to press it in order to gain speed and also turn, better simulating real-world physics.
- Updated the fishing mechanic: instead of it being time-based, fish can now be found exclusively inside fishing areas, marked with vegetation. The fishing areas are marked with the pattern of the fish type that lives in them, which can be only seen in the exploration view.
- Fish are now being consumed every 75 seconds. If a fish cannot be found in the fish box, you lose. This lose condition will be communicated visually in the next version.
- Temporarily removed the shark from the game.
- You can now reset the game by pressing the R key.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where some outlines would appear incorrectly.
Known Issues
- Lose conditions are currently not communicated in any way. This will be fixed in the next version
- Reaching a light house is currently not communicated in any way. This will be fixed in the next version.
- The shark is currently not available. It will be added in the next version.
- The oar animations are sometimes jittery.
